Topaz detail8/18/2023 It also did nice things to define the whip coral's polyps. The "Sunset" filter brings out quite a bit more detail in this little guy's body, especially the textures of his pectoral fin and his see-through skin. These fish are much smaller than the photo suggests (1.5 inches, maybe) and very, very skittish, so you really don't even get to see the detail on the fish until you're looking at the photo later. This is great because I could flip through all those painful Unlucky Button results without ever having to wait. Topaz is sufficiently snappy that there's really no time to even tab out of the window. Have I mentioned, though, that Topaz Detail is fast? I've jettisoned plugins in the past because the processing times, even to render previews, were unbearably slow. Until then, it's more of an "Unlucky Button": you're much better off flipping through the included presets and tweaking them to suit your photo and your preferences. I was once taught that "just because the dial goes to 10 doesn't mean you should turn the dial all the way to 10." I think the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button could stand a taste of that medicine. Maybe it just wasn't my lucky day, but even after some twenty rolls of the dice, I couldn't get a result that looked better than this: The one "feature" of Topaz Detail that I really can't recommend is the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. Also, I had never noticed all the parasites in this guy's mouth before just now! Maybe I'll go back for another pass and mask in just the eel? What do you think?Īnd how about this scorpionfish? Using just the "Overall Detail Medium" filter preset once again really brought out the texture in its skin and eyes. I applied "Overall Detail Medium," which I thought defined the wrinkling in the eel's skin nicely, but I'm not sure about the increased definition in the background. ![]() ![]() So, moving on to some of those "subtle but powerful" adjustments I was talking about earlier, here's a shot of a ribbon eel that could stand to be a little more crisp. The reds came out a little over saturated for my taste, but overall, I dig the effect-it's so much punchier. I had been satisfied with the sharpness and detail in this image, but applying the "Spring" preset really brought out the, well, detail in the Christmas tree worm's "branches" (which are actually its gills/mouth). So the first photo I loaded up was this macro image of a Christmas tree worm. ![]() Shown below are the "Before" pics mouse over each to see the processing I applied using Topaz Detail. The program includes a number of presets, which I found to be a great starting point, and at times were all I needed. Somewhat miraculously, Topaz Detail manages to increase sharpness without creating edge artifacts, halos, or significant noise. With increased microcontrast comes increased perception of sharpness in an image. To get into detail (ha ha) for a minute, Detail works by tweaking microcontrast, which is the contrast between adjacent pixels (as opposed to the global contrast of the entire image). ![]()

Deus ex human revolution missing link8/18/2023 ![]() I don’t think there was one area where I didn’t set off the alarms.Īfter spending all my points in Armour, Legs and Strength there were a good amount doors / terminals I came across that had level 5 security encryptions. if you spend all your points in combat you’ll making a lot of noise to get around, but if you choose stealthy options you can probably do the whole thing a lot more subtlety than I did. There’s a very limited supply of Praxis points while running around here, so potentially there’s areas you may not be able to access on your first play through. Turns out it’s a stationary Typhoon Explosive system. Well technically they shouldn’t be called turrets… as I did run straight in to a sensor beam just to see what would happen. On the subject of enemies – there’s not really any you’ve not already run across in Human Revolution, however there are a few new turrets that you (or I at least) never came across in the main game. Sure, the repetitive areas have different enemies in them each time, but once you’ve learnt to navigate them the first time around it’s pretty easy to make your way around them. One of these side quests is finding parts of a weapon that may make life easier towards the end.Īs The Missing Link takes place on this offshore facility, there’s not much in the ways of sight seeing, once you’re actually in the facility you’ll find yourself running through the same areas on a few occasions, frustratingly there is some sections of the game you can’t skip by quickly and you find yourself staring at the screen for a good 30 seconds… I myself found it very tedious and considering you’ll encounter this at least 6 times… oh dear. While following the main storyline there are indeed a few side quests that will help with those little bit of extra experience points and credits along the way. It’s inside the facility that the story starts to unfold and grab a hold of you. At first Ammo is scarce for the weapons you acquire and you (this is probably just me being awful) find yourself dying more often in the DLC than you did in the full game! Bare in mind here that you have barely no player selected augmentations by this stage to help you scuttle past enemies. if you think it’s all over once you’re off the ship, think again.Īs it turns out, the ship wasn’t initially headed forSingapore, it instead takes you to a ‘Off the radar’ Belltower offshore facility where things start to get a little more tricky. Once you’ve found your equipment you goal is to escape the cargo ship which has essentially been dubbed ‘The Frying Pan’. So essentially you start with nothing, except presumably very heavy and hard hitting augmented arms to knock people over with. Whilst strapped up you’ve been stripped of all your body armour and are left topless and covered in blood, the first mission sees you making your way back to a holding area after overhearing guards whittering on about where your items are being kept. That’s a good thing, right? Off you go to kick some ass as you would have previously. After refusing to answer questions and being left alone in the room, it’s apparent that somebody on the ship is on your side as your restraints are unlocked and you’re free to escape. When Jensen is discovered to be stowing away within the stasis chamber he’s quickly retrieved and strapped up for a bit of interrogation. One of – if not the largest organisations you’ll come across in the game. The cargo ship belongs to the security for hire organisation, Belltower. The Missing Link is a full DLC that will happily give you an additional 4-5 hours worth of gameplay unlike the previous two DLC’s that are just additional weapons and one mission. Roller for putting down putty tape8/18/2023 Plumber's putty has no adhesion value like caulk, which is used to help secure the toilet bowl to the floor. Cleaners and urine can also compromise the integrity of the putty if they come in contact with one another on the bathroom floor. That’s because this product cannot support the weight of a toilet and is not waterproof. ![]() Historically, plumber's putty was used to seal a leaky toilet or toilet bowl to a finished floor however, we do not recommend it for these types of applications. Thus, it should not be used in any pressurized connection, such as a gasketed fitting or on the thread of pipes. Read manufacturer instructions and product recommendations to ensure best practices for safe and effective use.Īlthough this product creates a watertight seal, it is not an adhesive or glue. ![]() Plumber's putty should not be used on plastics (Acrylic or ABS) because it will affect the integrity of the material and lead to product failure. Plumber's putty is recommended only for setting bowls, fixtures, faucets, sink frames and strainers and is compatible with stainless-steel fixtures. However, if putty is being used in colder applications, we suggest waiting 10 minutes after the initial installation to confirm the product does not need an extra turn to ensure it is properly secured. Typically, most siliconized caulk needs approximately 24 hours to cure completely or a minimum of eight hours before exposing it to water or moisture.Īfter plumber's putty has been applied and the fixture put in place, the latter can be used immediately. ![]() Plumber's putty has no dry time, whereas silicone requires cure time. How long does plumbers putty take to dry? In contrast, when using plumber's putty, you need no more than a tub of putty to get the job done. Applying silicone can get messy, so many contractors carry additional products to make the application easier, such as a caulking gun or a silicone spray. Plumber's putty is also easier to clean than silicone, because it does not stick to hands and requires no additional tools. It's ideal for wet exterior applications because it's extremely weather-resistant and contains antimicrobial properties that will inhibit the growth of mold and mildew. This feature protects against yellowing and allows a seal to last longer when exposed to direct sunlight. Siliconized caulk can also be used for applications where weatherproofing is required because it is waterproof and UV-resistant. Silicone sealant bonds to porcelain, ceramic, marble, fiberglass and most metals. Once the putty has dried, there is nothing that can be added to regenerate the putty without affecting the quality of the product. If the putty is exposed to air for an extended period of time, it will harden and become brittle. Plumber’s putty will remain pliable when not exposed to air and can be used as a bedding compound for strainers, faucets/tub waste and overflows once out of the container. Unlike some other sealants, plumber's putty remains soft over time and can be easily modified after its first application. Plumber's putty is an easily workable, soft, pliable, fixture-setting compound. What removing it, always check the manufacturers instructions and you will be almost guaranteed a perfect paint job.Silicone sealant or siliconized caulk is an adhesive and can't be remolded or replaced after it has dried. If the tape does not fully adhere to a wall, baseboard, or door frame, then paint can seep beneath and pull up when you remove the tape – along with any paint it is stuck to.
